Araha Beach Buffet Heaven at Grapachina!

The Italian rustic looking restaurant right at Araha beach in Chatan promises a great lunch or dinner experience. Grapachina offers a variety of sides at their buffet, including soups, salads, breads, different meats like fried chicken and ham, dessert, coffee, juices and tea. At your table you can additionally choose from a menu of different delicious pizzas and pastas to order. Two dishes at a time can be selected, so one pasta and one pizza at a time. Second and third orders are allowed, though, so no worries. You can enjoy the Italian dishes as much as you like.

The pizzas are handmade and baked in the stone oven, so the crust is light and crispy, just how Italian cuisine lovers like it. The toppings vary from basil, bacon, different kind of cheeses, sea food and even dessert like ice cream and chocolate sauce. The pastas are either basil, cream or tomato based and served in big portions. It was almost impossible to finish the second pasta me and my friends ordered, because of all the other good food at the buffet. The highlight for me is the little coffee corner where you can choose and grind your own beans and then brew it in the Espresso machine. There is also a big rack of syrup, where you can select the flavor of your choice. It was fun trying tiramisu, blueberry and amaretto flavor and to make my own special coffee for the afternoon.

The price for the lunch buffet is 1,300Yen but the restaurant closes at 3:30pm to prepare for the evening, so come early enough to enjoy the great buffet for as long as you like.
