The Orange Restaurant at Kafuu Resort Fuchaku

Kafuu Resort Fuchaku has several high end dining spots, but among these, The Orange stood out as a favorite. Recently renovated and reopened, step inside for a dining experience with flavors from Southeast Asia, China, and Europe.

The Orange prides itself on its seafood dishes, but they also serve meat and vegetarian options. You can dine here for breakfast (6.30am-10.00am), lunch (11.30am-3.00pm), and dinner (6.00pm- 11.00pm).

Breakfast is buffet style, with strong European influence. The French toast with honey in particular is really good. There is also salad, hot food (sausages, hash browns, eggs, and more), soup, bread, fruit, pancakes, and yogurt. Accompanying this is juice, water, and hot tea and coffee. Breakfast costs 2500 yen.

Lunch meals all come with appetizer, dessert, and drinks buffet (soft drinks only, alcohol is extra). Choose from pasta, risotto and paella, meat, and fish. I really enjoyed the risotto, it had an authentic taste, and was very filling. Stand out favorites in the buffet were the potato salad and green tea cake. Lunch starts at 1680 yen for the cheapest dish. They also offer a monthly fair, which changes regularly and starts at around 2200 yen.

Dinner is the best meal of the day. You can choose one of their signature dishes from their regular menu, such as the fresh seafood platter (7000/13000 yen), a great sharing dish, or from their pasta and main dishes. You can also find delectable appetizers, filling soups (I highly recommend the clam chowder), and tempting desserts. To keep costs down and still leave sated, you can opt for one of their course menus. There are three, ranging in price from 4,500 yen to 8,000 yen, and all with at least 5 courses. Everything is cooked fresh and presented beautifully.

The Orange also has an extensive wine and drinks list, with wines and alcoholic beverages from all over the world.
