Have you ever wanted to eat authentic, freshly made, steaming hot Okonomiyaki here in Okinawa but could never find a good restaurant?
Umanosuke Okonomiyaki on Route 34 in Maeha is my favorite restaurant to go. It recently moved here from Ganeko so it’s new and clean.
Their amazing 500Yen menu gives the choice of many different Okonomiyaki (savory Japanese pancakes) or Soba noodle dishes plus a drink. You can either get a cheese, pork or squid Okonomiyaki and top it with sauce, mayonnaise, fish flakes and spices or enjoy flavorful Yakisoba fried noodles, Sobameshi (fried noodles and rice) or saucy Monja Yaki (Okonomiyaki pan fried batter) with different kind of ingredients. Add some rice, salad for an extra 100Yen to complete your order if you like.
For dessert you have the choice of milky ice cream, Zenzai sweet beans or shaved ice for only 100Yen. A great way to finish a good lunch.
If you want to eat and drink all you can eat style, no problem. Get the 90 min Tabehoudai plan for only 1.300Yen that offers all kinds of Okonomiyaki from the menu and take full advantage of their drink bar, the special Kimuchi Okonomiyaki or Shrimp and Egg Yakisoba.
After 4pm the evening prices apply and the sets get more expensive. But they serve alcohol as well, so the Okonomiyaki becomes a nice little Izakaya you can check out with your friends!
Old fashioned restaurant so no credit card or Dollar accepted.
