White River Photo Studio is located in located just outside Gate 2 on BC Street next to Tiget Patch Shop. They specialise in professional photos for individual, families and special occasions. They offer traditional Japanese style photos with men and women dressed in Kimonos with hair and make up professionally done.

When I was visiting my sister in Okinawa we went to this Studio to get our pictures taken. It was the best experience I have had. The women who I believe owns the studio was so nice and hilarious. She made me feel very comfortable. They do speak English, but sometimes there was a bit of a communication issue. But what to you expect when you aren’t in an English speaking country? The man (who I believe was her husband) who did the photoshot was also a very nice person. I love this place so much, and if I ever get to come back to Okinawa I will come back here and get more pictures.

We had pictures taken here as well. It was amazing! The staff was absolutely fabulous, some of the nicest people we have ever met! They did a fabulous job dressing us, getting our hair and makeup done, then when it was time to take pictures they all helped in making sure we were posed just right, and everything was in place. The pictures turned out wonderfully and I am so incredibly happy we did this. Depending on what your used to paying for pictures this may seem expensive but it was worth every penny! We could not have been more happy!
